Solve Media Launches Effective Mobile Advertising Platform That Delivers Measurable Results Across All Screens

Unilever and Songza Among Early Adopters Utilizing the Platform to Deliver Performance-Based Premium Mobile Ads

NEW YORK — June 24, 2013 — Solve Media, the leader in guaranteed performance-based online branding, today unveiled its responsively designed mobile advertising platform. The new platform delivers native, premium ads via the mobile web and mobile app on both tablets and smartphones. The ads, delivered full screen and high resolution, promote a positive user experience by offering access to mobile content in exchange for ad engagement. Songza and Unilever are among the early adopters of the Mobile TYPE-IN™ platform.

“We are focused on delivering positive user experiences, particularly in mobile,” said Jon Hsia, Managing Director, Digital Investment at Mindshare. “Moreover, we have to deliver these experiences at scale. In Solve Media, we believe we have found a platform that can effectively deliver consumer value at scale.”

According to Gartner, mobile advertising revenue is expected to reach more than $11 billion worldwide this year, up from $9 billion in 2012. However, the full potential of mobile advertising has not been realized as many of the ads currently being served are repurposed, ineffective display ads that do not properly translate to mobile. Solve Media built upon its proven TYPE-IN™ solution to create a responsive and highly engaging mobile platform, which prompts users to type in a brand message in order to access valuable content on mobile and tablet devices. An example of Solve Media’s mobile platform can be found on Songza, which presents its users with a Mobile TYPE-IN™ in exchange for a long period of uninterrupted music.

“As Songza has grown, our need for a successful mobile monetization strategy has as well,” says Elias Roman, CEO of Songza. “Solve Media’s Mobile TYPE-IN™ ads drive stronger economic results for us while maximizing the time that our users can enjoy the soundtrack of their lives interruption-free.”

Solve Media also offers the ability to accurately measure performance in mobile advertising – a long time challenge for the industry. Recent research conducted with Unilever showed 87 percent lift for purchase intent (comScore mobile norms: 23 percent), and 122 percent lift in awareness (comScore mobile norms: 48 percent) for Wish-Bone salad dressings, using Solve Media’s Mobile TYPE-IN™ platform.

“We have solved many mobile advertising industry challenges: low user engagement, accidental clicks, bot threats, and wasted ad spend,” said Ari Jacoby, CEO of Solve Media. “Solve Media has become a trusted partner in display and video advertising, and we are excited to bring simplicity, accountability and effectiveness to mobile advertising.”
