What does Chitika mean? When Chitika co-founders, Venkat Kolluri and Alden DoRosario left Lycos in 2003 to start their own company, they sought a name that would suggest the speed with which its customers would be able to put up ads on their Web sites. Chitika, which means “snap of the fingers” in Telugu (a South Indian language), captured this sentiment and Chitika Inc. was born. Chitika introduced its online-ads service in January, 2004.

Got banned from Chitika for basically earning too much. They closed my account and didn’t pay up.
Their official reason was
“-Our fraud team has detected that you were spamming the same keyword causing unnatural inflation in CPC. This is against our terms and conditions”
This is absurd as I can in no way manipulate the keyword that users come to with on my site.

i use them on my site they nearly pay 1.68cents per click now i use adcash and bidvertiser
I left them a long long time ago. It wasn’t worth it to put them on my sites. What a waste of time.
Chitika has very and very low rates. I’m running them almost 2 years and it has very poor earning. I’m trying to wait till $10 minimum will be reached to get it and then I’ll never use them again. I don’t understand how you can earn with Chitika. They have so low rates, that it doesn’t worth the work of website owner to place they ads!
